Deleting a post in WordPress is a simple process. If you want to remove a post from your site, follow these steps:

Deleting a Post in WordPress:

 

Step 1: Login to WordPress Admin Dashboard

  • Open your web browser.
  • Go to the login page of your WordPress site by appending /wp-admin to your site's URL (e.g., http://yourdomain.com/wp-admin).
  • Enter your username and password to log in.

Step 2: Navigate to the "Posts" Section

  • Once logged in, follow these steps:
  • In the left sidebar, find and click on "Posts."

Step 3: Locate the Post to Delete

  • You will see a list of your posts.
  • Find the post you want to delete. You can use the search or filter options if you have many posts.

Step 4: Hover Over the Post Title

  • Hover over the title of the post you want to delete.
  • Beneath the title, you will see several options, including "Edit," "Quick Edit," "Trash," etc.

Step 5: Move to Trash

Click on the "Trash" link. This will move the post to the trash.

Step 6: Confirm Deletion

  • After clicking "Trash," you will see a confirmation message.
  • If you want to permanently delete the post, go to the "Trash" section on the left sidebar.
  • Hover over the post in the trash and click on “Delete Permanently.”
  • Confirm the deletion if prompted.

Step 7: View the Updated Posts

  • If you're back in the "All Posts" section, you'll notice the deleted post is no longer there.
  • If you permanently deleted the post, it won't appear in the trash.

Restoring a Post from Trash:

  • If you mistakenly moved a post to the trash and want to restore it, go to the "Trash" section.
  • Hover over the post and click "Restore."
